The Wilderness Foundation

Founded by Dr. Ian Player, a former Game Ranger of the Kwa-Zulu Natal Parks Board, The Wilderness Foundation seeks to conserve wildlife within South Africa's game reserves, and to protect and assist the local communities living in and around those areas.

The Lajuma Leopard Research Project

In the Soutpansberg Mountains in South Africa, biologist Ian Gaigher and his team at The Lajuma Research Centre are studying the local wild leopard populations and consulting local farmers about how best to manage these wild cats so that man, domestic animals and leopards can live peacefully side by side.
