Want to discover the best Namibia safaris & holiday for you? You’ve come to the right place! Find peace of mind & answers to your questions about which are the best Namibia safaris for you.

Find superb deals on the best Namibian safaris, adventures, tours & flights. Once a German colony – and later a South African protectorate – today Namibia is a wonderful blend of stunning landscapes, authentic African tribal culture & outstanding wildlife & African game parks.

Namibia is a wonderful melding of cultures — it also retains its European charm, in quaint seaside towns. We’ve been on over 80 African safaris but we always look forward to our Namibia safaris. For us, Namibia’s blend of dramatic scenery, wildlife, and adventure activities makes it one of the best African safari destinations, and for photographers, one of the best for African photo safaris.

We often go to Namibia on family vacations.

On a couple of trips we made it an extended family vacation. Taking my then 78 year old mother in law with us. Being in such a stunning natural environment for a week was rejuvenating for everyone. We’ve lived in South Africa since 1993, and my wife is a local, but Namibia is very different.

We had a very active vacation, not just taking great Namibia safaris – quad biking (no my mother in law skipped that), taking scenic flights along the Skeleton Coast and to the world’s highest dunes, going on a living desert tour – looking for chameleons, sidewinders just like on National Geographic!

Going on a dolphin and seal cruise in Walvis Bay.

Seeing where they get those most delicious (according to my wife) oysters. The food was wonderful, the seafood sublime, the German food excellent. All this makes Namibia more than just a great African safari holiday, for us it is one of the best African holidays bar none! Like neighboring South Africa, Namibia safaris and Namibia itself are also great options for those who want to self drive. Cheap car rentals & good roads make the country’s vast distances doable.

Charming German towns like Swakupmond have some of the best Namibia hotels. Indeed Namibia accommodation is very good throughout the country – from the mysterious Skeleton Coast towns to Sousselvei where sand dunes are as high as mountains.

Namibia is also ideal for those who want to combine one of the best Namibia safaris with other interests such as golf, spas, amazing scenery and sightseeing. Alone or combined with a visit to South Africa and or Botswana, Namibia is an exceptional experience.

Our Top Namibia Safaris & Travel Spots – Namibia Beach & Towns

Here’s Our Top 3

  • Swakopmund
  • Luderitz
  • Walvis Bay

Though it has a long coastline, none of Namibia’s beaches are suitable for swimming – unless you love very cold water! But these are the top towns by the sea!

Swakopmund & Luderitz have lovely German colonial charm. Walvis Bay’s harbor has a wonderful cruise that lets you experience dolphin, seals, pelicans and see where oysters are raised.
